MASTER GLAND TUMOR (PITUITARY GLAND TUMOR)

The pituitary gland is a small gland at the base of the brain that controls growth, metabolism, reproduction, and sexual function. The gland can develop abnormal growth and cysts. These abnormalities are quite common, with as many as one in five people in the general population. A pituitary tumor is the third most common primary brain tumor.

Dr. A. Mustafa has been treating complex pituitary tumors and helping several patients reestablish normal hormonal functions after brain surgery with a good outcome. She will recommend a management plan as per the American Pituitary Society recommendations.
